The attack potentially compromised the personal information (PII) of certain individuals. Plaintiffs allege negligence and other claims, which Hanesbrands denies. However, the Company has agreed to this settlement to resolve the matter.

2. Who is included in the Settlement?

The Settlement Class includes all individuals whose PII was compromised in the ransomware attack against Hanesbrands Inc. discovered by the Company on May 24, 2022. Specifically excluded are the judge presiding over this case, their immediate family, Hanesbrands Inc.'s executives, and those who opt out of the settlement.

You received a notice because Hanesbrands Inc. records indicate that your PII may have been impacted in the data incident, making you a potential member of the Settlement Class.

5. What does the Settlement provide?

The Settlement provides the following benefits for eligible class members:

  • Compensation for documented out-of-pocket expenses incurred due to the data incident (up to $100,000 aggregate).
  • A choice of additional relief, including:
    • Two years of Experian IdentityWorks credit and identity monitoring services.
    • $50 Hanes website credit (with free shipping).
    • $35 alternative cash payment.

6. How do I file a claim?

You can submit a claim by completing the form online at Hanesdatabreachsettlement.com or by downloading the form from the website, filling it out, and mailing the completed form to:

7. What is the deadline to file a claim?

All claims must be submitted online or postmarked by January 3, 2025.

8. When will I receive payment?

Payments or other benefits will be distributed after the Court grants final approval of the settlement and any appeals are resolved. This process may take several months.

9. Do I need to pay anything?

No. There are no costs to participate in the settlement.

10. What are my options?

You can:

• File a claim to receive payment.

• Opt out if you do not want to be bound by the Settlement or participate in any benefits.

• Object if you have concerns about the Settlement’s terms.

11. What happens if I do not participate?

If you do not opt out, you will remain part of the Settlement Class and forfeit the right to sue Hanesbrands Inc. regarding the claims covered in this settlement.
